Balance, Everything

New Rules at Disneyland. Hey Mouse Ears, Check this Out.

Disney Sienna Birthday 2019

We recently visited Disneyland for the first time since my youngest was free. Yep. We live 20 minutes from the park and we’ve only been a few times since my girls were born. And we typically go when our Auntie T buys us an extra ticket because she’s like our fairy god motha.

Our family had a blast visiting the park, mainly because we bought the Fast Pass (I can’t imagine we would have gotten to ride half the rides we did if we didn’t buy it), but we did notice there were more strollers than a mommy and me 5K mimosa run on Mother’s Day. So it was interesting when I heard about the new guidelines and how they will impact mouse fans everywhere starting May 1, 2019. Take a look at the list and see if you are going to be happy still, at the happiest place on earth.

  • No more smoking; in the parks or Downtown Disney District. I LOVE this rule and look forward to a smoke free day of fun.
  • Better check your strollers mamas! Strollers may not be larger than 31” (79cm) wide and 52” (132cm) long.
  • As always wagons are not permitted in the parks, and now stroller wagons will also no longer be permitted. Bummer if you are bringing a few kids and snacks, but our parents never brought in wagons, so I’m sure we will all survive.
  • Loose and dry ice are not allowed in the parks. If you need to keep medication or food cool, reusable ice packs are permitted, plus they are way less messy.

Hopefully these new rules won’t be too much of a burden for you and your family as you hit the parks. Grab your ears and make a run for it before the summer crowds really come in. For more details visit the Disneyland Resort site.
