What we don’t love is the high price of gluten free bread. Our kids take a sandwich almost every day to school, and we’d be in the poor house if we bought smaller loaves each week. If your family is the same, or you have a husband who eats his weight in Peanut Butter toast like mine does, do not despair. I have a solution: Walmart.
Did you know Walmart Grocery is a great resource for gluten free items? Walmart Grocery sells the larger loaf of Udi’s Gluten Free White Sandwich Bread (24 oz) for under $8 in my neighborhood. They also sell the whole grain version, but my family has not migrated there yet.

My suggestion is to buy two when you go, and check the loaf for holes in the bread slices, sometimes there are air pockets during the baking process and no one wants a PB&J with a huge hole in it. If you DO happen to get a holy loaf reach out to Udi’s. Udi’s has the most amazing customer service and they will send you a coupon if you supply them with some info on your purchase.
Find Udi’s items in the freezer section with the other gluten free products and relax your pocketbook while your family enjoys their sandwiches.
