I did it again! I achieved a goal I wasn’t sure I would ever reach. This past weekend I was given the final approval and I’m now a legitimate Weight Watchers Leader.

The Day I was Approved to be a Leader |
I started attending Weight Watchers meetings in September of 2014. I have struggled with my weight off and on since I was 10-years-old. In my late teens and twenties I gained and lost the same 20-25 pounds a handful of times, and I didn’t always make the healthiest choices.

One Month Before I Started Weight Watchers Meetings |
Once I had my children, in my thirties, that 25 pounds turned into 40 to 50 pounds of extra weight I didn’t need to carry around. I was exhausted all of the time, and I could no longer blame my children for it. I was short of breath sometimes, which really scared me, and was something I had never experienced in my life. I was barely seen in pictures with my family, I was always that person who peered behind someone else, like I was only the top 1/3 of my body. And I was just tired of being tired.

Always hiding behind others in pictures |
I walked into Weight Watchers and my goal was to lose weight, become strong again, be a good example for my children and to be healthier. Twenty months later I reached my weight loss goal. I lost 40 pounds and I have kept it off for almost a year. I lost weight, but I gained so much more. I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been in my life. I am proud of the life I am living and for the choices I make and for the reasons I make them. And I’m inspired to help others with their journey.

Thank you Weight Watchers for allowing me to start this new journey with you, and for everyone I have yet to meet. I look forward to this next adventure.
