Let’s Play Football: A New Book for Kids About My Favorite Sport

This past weekend was the big game and don’t get me started because I am a HUGE Broncos fan. With that said, I was so thrilled to have a kid’s football themed play date on Saturday before all the depression set in surrounding my football season. We had boys and girls over to debut a new football book for kids “Let’s Play Football“, enjoy some fun games and read an adorable and informative book about football.

I decorated the table with crafts, snacks and games to play. Our color scheme was blue and orange keeping in line with my favorite team. The kids loved creating sports charm necklaces and practicing their punts over a tiny goal post with a rubber football. It reminded me of when we’d create a paper football in the back of math class in high school and flick field goals through a friend’s fingers.

The children also created artwork with foam footballs, baseballs and basketballs and snacked on some delicious goodies. We were lucky enough to feature Honest Kids Appley Ever After Organic Juice Drinks. Its so nice to know I’m not loading my guests up with sugar stuffed drinks – just giving them appley goodness.

During our football bingo game I read the book and everyone really enjoyed it. Being a huge football fan myself, I knew most of the details, but actually learned a thing or two. My girlfriends agreed the book would be great to give to kids of all ages, before football season starts each year. It explains the game and strategy really well, no matter how old you are. Our little fans learned some football language and were able to follow the rules along with a super cute story about a Papa Bear and his Young Cub.

Our football play date was a great success and we could tell the kids were excited to have a special football day before they had to attend some crazy, adult football party on Sunday. I’m happy to share my experience and give some love to my new favorite football book “Let’s Play Football” – it really is a great read for kids of all ages, and adults too.
