One of the main dishes I have been missing since going Gluten Free last year is pizza. Not crappy pizza, but really yummy doesn’t taste like cardboard pizza. And since I have been dreading making a pizza crust from scratch imagine how thrilled I was to find a frozen pizza crust available at Von’s. Udi’s Gluten Free frozen crust to the rescue.
I took that frozen disc, slapped some pesto on it. Added shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella slices and torn pieces of fresh basil. A little salt and pepper, pop it on the BBQ at 350 degrees and grill until cheese is melted and crust is toasty. Sooooo delicious and worth the wait.
If you get a chance….try Against the Grain frozen pizza crusts. They are a bit pricey but worth every penny. BEST GF pizza crust I have found thus far. I am in NorCal so I get mine at our Local Raleys but Whole foods carries them too. And their baguettes and rolls are also very very good!kd
